The Album is bound in black cloth with gilt lettering on the front cover, it has marbled end-papers and 106 pages. The covering to the spine is torn. Most of the press cuttings are stuck onto pages of the notebook, but there are 3 loose press cutting near the back of the book. In some cases Wallace has written the name of the journal or newspaper and date at the top of the page above the press cutting, but not for all of them.
