Description`59th Annual report of the Trustees of the National Portrait Gallery 1915-1916. Printed report by HMSO Cd 8290. On top of title page is written in blue ink "Two portraits of A R Wallace presented by V D W & W G W". At the bottom of page 4 - no 953 is described Alfred Russel Wallace, Cast of a medallion executed in 1906 by Albert Bruce-Joy with detailed description of the medallion and information "a version in silver was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1908, and a cast in plaster is in the Linnean Society. Register no 1764". At top of page 5 - no 954 is described Alfred Russel Wallace, Oil painting, artist unknown, based on, or from, a photograph taken by his brother-in-law, Thomas Sims, between 1863 and 1866. Register no 1765.
