The dates '1870-1879' are written in pencil below the title on the front cover. Parts of an examination paper 1878, (physical geography), examiners Professor John W Judd FRS and J.Norman Lockyer Esq. FRS, two folios of print dated and annotated in ink [in Alfred Russel Wallace's hand], is pasted onto the inside cover of the folder.There are the following enclosures:

5. Part of a printed examination paper, ( physical geography) elementary, pasted onto a sheet of card apparently torn from the cover of a book. Annotated in Alfred Russel Wallace's hand. Undated.
