DescriptionSmall cream envelope approximately 14 cm x 8cm annotated on the back in pencil in William Greenell Wallace's hand 'Baltimore', containing two press cuttings from unnamed and undated newspapers, c. Dec 1886, one headed 'The theory of development' and the other 'Dr. Wallace at the Peabody', both reporting on a lecture given by Alfred Russel Wallace at the Peabody Institute (Baltimore, Maryland) on the origin and use of colour in animals and plants.
