Activity | Museum Staff: Wells entered the Museum as a Boy Attendant in April 1883. During his early days at the Museum he assisted in moving the cabinets containing the bird collection from the old building at Bloomsbury to South Kensington. By 1922 he is styled as a clerk and retired from the Bird Section after 47 years service in April 1930.
