Activity	Museum Staff: Norman was invalided out of the Army in 1918 with his health permanently affected. He started to study zoology at Imperial College but left after taking up a post at the BM(NH) staff in 1921. He was in charge of the fish collections and became Deputy Keeper of Zoology. He was transferred to Tring in October 1939 to become Officer in Charge when T.C.S. Morrison-Scott was called up for military service. He and his wife moved to Tring in October 1939 and he died in Tring on 26 May 1944 aged 45 after a long illness. Foreign member of the American Society of Icthyologists and Herpetologists. Was responsible for the re-organisation of the fish gallery in the museum and the publication of the guide-book it. He wrote reports on fishes for the Discovery II expedition, British Australia and New Zealand Antarctic expedition and the Murray expedition.
