ActivityMuseum staff. George Gray, brother of J E Gray, was appointed Keeper's Assistant in the Zoology Branch of the British Museum in 1831 to 1872 working on both birds and insects. He was appointed 1st class assistant 1837 and Assistant Keeper 1869. He died while still in employment with the Museum in 1872.
