Scientific Associate Visiting Professor in Dept of Plant Pathology and Entomology, Agricultural College of Sweden, Uppsala, May-June 1973 Aphids. Before coming to the Natural History Museum, Vic had been at Reading and Cambridge universities, as well as training as an RAF Navigator during the war. In the 1950s he undertook two extensive tours of East and West Africa, publishing the definitive surveys of the aphids of those regions. During the last 20 years he co-authored three definitive monographs: Aphids on the World’s trees, crops and herbaceous plants and shrubs, with Roger Blackman.
