Focused on deep-sea sediments and rocks with special interest in petrology and meteoritics. Organised move of ocean bottom deposit collections to Acton in 1970, then to South Ruislip in 1979 and finally to Wandsworth. Worked first from Acton and then acted as scientific liaison officer for Ruislip for ten years. Contributed to network of ocean bottom deposit collections users, particularly external users. Considerable expertise on the development of oceanography. |
