| Title | SF165 Models of livestock from Budapest c1900 |
| Description | Letter from Laszlo Bartosiewicz to Juliet Clutton-Brock about the possibility of conducting research in to the 'statuettes'; brief handwritten notes on the statuettes; pamphlet in French about the statuettes by the sculptor Georges Vastagh; black and white photographs of the models. The models, which are of Hungary's finest breeding animals, were commissioned by the Hungarian state for the Millennial Exhibition of 1896 in Budapest (where they were awarded the Grand Millenial Medal) and the Exposition Universelle of 1900 in Paris (where they were awarded the Gold Medal). The numbers in the pamphlet seem to correspond to numbers written on the photographs. |
