| Description | Contains notes, correspondence, photos, maps, etc. in preparation for The Birds of Mount Nimba, Liberia by P.R.Colston & K.Curry-Lindahl published by BM(NH) in 1986. This Report was based on a collection of bird skins, most of which were presented to the BM(NH) by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. Skins were collected mainly by Alec D. Forbes-Watson and also by Dr Malcolm Coe and others. Forbes-Watson had intended to follow up his field work by writing a full Report but when it became clear after some years that he would be unable to do this, the task was undertaken by Peter R. Colston of BM(NH) and Kai Curry-Lindahl assisted by Dr David W. Snow of BM(NH) and others. The tabulated data for this Report is recorded as being housed at Tring and is included. Alec Forbes-Watson's field data sheets are held at TRING MSS. FORBES-WATSON.
