Description | Letter from E Rüppell, Frankfurt in English to J E Gray dated 12 May 1838 explaining that he sent a copy of his celebrated animals nos 1-10 by Sir Philip Grey Egerton with additional copies of no 10 for various individuals, museums and organisations, although Mr [William] Swainson has not received his copy. Offers specimens in exchange for desiderata and requests return of Alectura and Pitta maclottii bird specimens obtained from Lord Derby with mammalia left at the British Museum in 1836.
