These volumes are also known as the 'Red Photograph Albums' and have now been fully digitised. Please use digital copies in the first instance wherever possible to preserve the original material..
The numbering is occasionally out of order and sometimes numbers are missed out completely. This may be due to manner of the original creation of the albums, which is presumed to relate to the Museum's early policy of only allowing photography by visitors on condition that two copies of all photographs taken were given to the Museum.
There are some additional loose copies of these photographs, not in the albums. These are noted in the description field. |
