DescriptionThe series contains the only surviving visitors books for the General Library, both dating from the period when the Library was housed in its new accommodation in the North Building. The General Library was open to members of the public freely and without prior appointment, on condition that they signed a book giving their name and address. Museum staff did not sign the book.
