Hope for the Future

Alejandro Prieto's Image

This pair of month-old jaguar cubs probably ended up in the village after a hunter killed their mother and sold them as pets.

In the wild these young animals would have stayed with their mother until they were about two years old. Instead they have been handed in to a refuge. With luck they will both be returned to the wild after their rehabilitation.
