Shooting pictures while flying a paramotor is always an exceptional experience,’ says Pascal, but on this occasion he was in for a particular treat.
Looking for graphical compositions to capture, he stumbled on coastal sand bars that had been freshly carved by the receding water of the low tide, creating this abstract design. A flock of little egrets are peacefully feeding in the adjacent shallow, providing a sense of scale to the scene. Until the 1980s, little egrets were a rare sight on this part of the French coast. Their populations have grown steadily since, even reaching the UK, partly because of global warming.
