Plan your visit
Whether you're visiting for the first time or the fiftieth, these tours will take you through the best the Museum has to offer.
Even if you've visited the Museum before and have seen the highlights, there's still plenty to discover. This tour guides you through some of the Museum's lesser-known treasures and is great for all ages.
Roaming the galleries can be exhausting stuff, so why not rest and refuel in one of our cafes. There's a selection of hot and cold drinks, and fresh food available. Browse the shops for dinosaur and other nature-inspired gifts. Some of our cafes and shops are temporarily closed.
You're in for a warm welcome at Tring. Find out how to plan your visit, including booking your free entry tickets, safety information and how to get there.
Things to do at home
We've brought the Museum to you with a host of free virtual tours, hands-on activities and live online events.
Delve into the Museum from home with a virtual self-guided tour of the galleries, an interactive experience about Hope the blue whale and audio guides narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
Join the team on Tuesdays at 12.00 and Fridays at 10.30 for interactive talks featuring topical discussions with our scientists and cutting-edge research.
You can ask questions during the live broadcast on YouTube.
