Diagnostic Features
  • test small, subglobular, rounded at the front, truncated at the rear
  • Apical disc subcentral; ethmophract with 4 gonopores
  • Ambulacrum III superficial with microscopic pores
  • Ambulacra subpetaloid, superficial, short and narrow, open distally.  The anterior and posterior petals of different length; perradial zone between pore-pair columns very narrow
  • Peristome reniform without labral projection
  • Tuberculation not preserved

Name gender masculine
Type Nordenskjoldaster antarctica Lambert, 1910, p. 10, by monotypy.
Species Included Only the type species.
Classification and/or Status Irregularia, Spatangoida, Hemiasterina, ?Hemiasteridae

Monotypic - too poorly known to be able to place with certainty
