Summary

I am a researcher currently working as part of the EUROPLANET collaboration between the Natural History Museum, the University of Kent and Bruker Nano GmbH. Based at the Natural History Museum, my time is split between the Mineral and Planetary Science division and the Imaging and Analysis Centre. My project involves characterisation of new microanalysis reference materials for platinum group element metal alloys with the aim of developing novel techniques for quantitative non-destructive characterisation of meteorites.

Prior to taking up my position at the Natural History Museum, I was based at Oxford University, where my DPhil (PhD) research focused on developing novel in situ scanning electron microscopy techniques for high temperature imaging of metal alloys. I have also been a stipendiary lecturer at Trinity college, University of Oxford, since 2018 and I will continue my teaching here alongside my new role at the museum. Outside of my research, I am very involved in the Royal Microscopical Society, as member of both the Editorial Board for the InFocus Magazine and the Early Careers Committee.
