Summary

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Natural History Museum in London. My main research interests are learning processes and outcomes on the interface of science education and science communication. I currently study youth participation and learning in citizen science programmes for LEARN CitSci. My previous research projects focused on teaching chromatography in schools, outreach labs and as busking activities in science museums and centres as well as on interactions between science and technology radio programmes and their audiences. I am a qualified science teacher who has also worked as a science communication lecturer and is experienced in university outreach and radio journalism. In 2016, I joined the Citizen Science COST action15212 and am an active member of the working group 2 that aims to develop synergies between citizen science and education. I have an MEd and PhD in Chemistry from the Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany) and an MSc Science Communication from Imperial College London.
