British Ornithologists Union British Checklist (2000)

This is a copy of the 2000 version of the British Ornithologists Union checklist of bird species recorded in Great Britain. It is the official list of British birds and is compiled by the BOU Records Committee. The list contains the accepted scientific and common names of native (incl. migratory) and naturalised species that have apparently self-sustaining populations in the wild. It does not include species that have been recorded as introductions, transportees or escapees from captivity, for which the breeding populations (if any) are not thought to be self-sustaining.
