Current Family: Brassicaceae
Comments: Baillargeon (in Taxon 37: 969. 1988), believing S. nigra L. to be the generitype, proposed Sinapis for conservation with S. alba as its conserved type. However, the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 42: 688. 1993) declined to support the proposal, ruling it unnecessary.
