| Comments: | Although Kerguélen (in Lejeunia, n.s., 75: 232. 1975) stated "Type:..LINN", this is not accepted as a formal typification, for the reasons explained by Cafferty & al. (in Taxon 49: 240. 2000). Dogan (in Karaca Arbor. Mag. 1: 56. 1991) indicated 81.1 (LINN) as the type, but this sheet lacks the Species Plantarum number (i.e. "1") and is a post-1753 addition to the collection. It is not original material for the name and Humphries' later choice is accepted here. |
