Fletcher & Nye (1984) stated:- Published as *Loxotegopsis* Dyar, 1917 ibidem 5 (4-6): 84, and as *Loxostegopsis* Dyar, 1918 ibidem 5 (10-12, index): 191, 192. *Loxotegopsis* has been consistently treated subsequently as an incorrect (of a multiple) original spelling of *Loxostegopsis* and is so treated in this catalogue.
