Classification and/or Status

Clypeasteroida; Scutellina; Scutelliformes; Protoscutellidae.

The thick, rounded margin is very reminiscent of laganids, but the bifurcating food grooves immediately distinguish this taxon. It differs from Periarchus only in having a thick rounded margin.
