Diagnostic Features Differing from Echinocyamus s.s. by its "squamoform projections" along the peristomal margin and a few large triangular plates in the peristomal membrane.
Distribution Pleistocene-Recent; Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean and Red Sea.
Name gender feminine
Type Echinocyamus crispus Mazzetti, 1893, p. 239. by original designation.

Remarks Presently there is no convicing evidence that Lepidocyamus needs to separated from Echinocyamus.
