Diagnostic Features	Test ovate in outline, depressed in profile with rounded ambitus. Apical system central, tetrabasal with four gonopores; genital plates subequal in size and all in contact. The posterior ocular plates abutting to the rear of the genital plates. Periproct large, elongate tear-shaped, marginal in postition. Ambulacra narrow adapically, petals undeveloped, pore-pairs small, simple, uniserial throughout, becoming very slightly offset in lines of three adorally. No buccal pores. Interambulacra wide. Tuberculation of small uniform primaries with slightly sunken areoles scattered over plates; in between there is dense uniform granulation. No oral/aboral differentiation. Peristome subcentral, oblique, a little depressed.
Distribution	Cretaceous (Aptian-Maastrichtian), Europe, North Africa, Arabia and the Middle East, Central America.
Name gender	feminine
Type	Nucleolites ovulum Lamarck, 1816, p. **; by original designation.
Species Included	Lambert included all species of Globator with an oblique peristome in this genus.
Classification and/or Status	Irregularia; Echinoneoida, Conulidae.
