Fletcher (1979) stated:-
C. belidearia is a junior subjective synonym of Fisera perplexata Walker, 1860, List Specimens lepid. Insects Colln Br. Mus. 21: 292.
Criomacha was used by Guest without any indication that it was a new generic name. The name was probably obtained from Meyrick as an identification and was unintentionally made nomenclaturally available before Meyrick's generic description was published.

Parsons et al. (1999) included CRIOMACHA Guest, 1887; and CRIOMACHA Meyrick, 1892 as junior synonyms of FISERA Walker, 1860 [November 10].
