Adelocephala was a Boisduval manuscript name made available by Duponchel. It has been attributed in error by authors to Herrich-Schäffer, [1854] 1850-1858, Samml. neuer oder wenig bekannter aussereur. Schmett. 1 (1): wrapper, pl.17, figs 77-79, and was so listed by Neave, 1939, Nomencl. zool. 1: 58.
