Nye (1975) stated:-
Not nomenclaturally available as a genus-group name. Hübner used Blepharidia on all three pages, in a suprageneric sense for one of the names of his tribes (Namen der Stämme) listed on page 33. Hübner listed his genus-group names on page 35. Blepharidia is included here as Berio, 1957, Memiore Soc. ent. ital. 36: 9, has accepted it as an available generic name from 1818 and has designated as type-species, Ephesia amica Hübner, 1818.
See: CORISCE Hübner, 1816.
