Nye (1975) stated:-

B. noela Dyar is a junior subjective synonym of Mychonia noela Druce, 1892, Biologia cent.-am. Zool. lepid. Heterocera 2: 69, pl. 47, fig. 28, originally placed in the Geometridae.

Poole (1989) included only 1 species in the genus BISTICA.
