A junior objective synonym of Crinodes Herrich-Schäffer, 1855. Astylis was established in the Adelocephalidae, now Saturniidae, Ceratocampinae; it was placed in the Notodontidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 616.
