Fletcher (1979) stated:-

Thierry-Mieg, 1899, ibidem 43: 20, 21 has shown that the species described and figured by Moore, 1868, Proc. zool. Soc. Lond. 1867: 653, pl.32, fig.6 as Abraxas compositata Guenée was a misidentification; he renamed the species Erebomorpha moorei.
