Fletcher (1979) stated:-

This genus was originally proposed in the Lithosiidae (now Arctiidae), but has since been transferred to the Geometridae by Prout, 1934, in Strand, Lepid. Cat. 61: 137.

Parsons et al. (1999) included ASIONA Walker, 1854 [May 13]; and HEMIGYMNODES Warren, 1894 as junior synonyms of MYRICE Walker, 1854.
