Fletcher (1979) stated:-

A junior homonym of Asellodes Stimpson, 1854, Smithson. Contr. Knowl. 6 (5): 41 - Crustacea. There is no objective replacement name, but A. laternaria is congeneric with Pseudasellodes constellata Warren, 1904, the type-species of Pseudasellodes Warren, 1904. The latter is thus available as a subjective replacement name.

See: PSEUDASELLODES Warren, 1904.

Parsons et al. (1999) included ASELLODES Guenée, 1858 as a junior synonym of PSEUDASELLODES Warren, 1904.
