Notes:
Cowan (1970: 16) stated:-
C. D. Sherborn, 1934 (Ann. Mag. nat. Hist. (10) 13 : 311) listed valuable data from the official records of the British Museum, giving the correct dates of certain of their natural history publications. Two on Butterflies by Butler are; [25 July] "1868", Cat. d. Lep. Sat. in B.M. (confirming title-page date) "1869" [12 Feb. 1870], Cat. d. Lep. descr. Fabricius in B.M. The latter, important for its early discussions of Fabrician names, is usually cited as "1869"; an unlikely date since the preface was only signed on 3 December 1869. Only four names seem to be affected here.
Corrigenda : in each case "1869" to read [1870]. CERATRICIA, DAPTONOURA, (NEOPITHECOPS, at end), TARACTROCERA.
The higher classification used here follows Lamas (2008).
