Watson, Fletcher & Nye (1980) stated:-
A junior homonym of Acreagris Koch & Berendt, 1854, in Berendt, Die im Bernstein befindlichen organischen Reste der Vorwelt 1 (2): 6, 123, pl.17, fig.157, - Collembola. The only objective replacement name Felderia Kirby, 1892, is itself a junior homonym (see below). However, the type-species of Acreagris is currently considered to be congeneric with Pyromorpha dimidiata Herrich-Schüffer, , the type-species of Pyromorpha Herrich-Schüffer, 1850-1858, Samml. neuer oder wenig bekannter aussereur. Schmett. 1: wrapper, pl., fig.222, which is therefore available as a subjective replacement name.
Acreagris when established was not placed in a family; it was placed in the Arctiidae by Kirby, 1892, Synonymic Cat. Lepid. Heterocera 1: 163; and its objective replacement name Felderia Kirby, 1892, was placed in the Zygaenidae by Jordan, 1913, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 6: 22.
Fletcher & Nye (1982) stated:-
A junior homonym of Acreagris Koch & Berendt, 1854, Organische Reste im Bernstein 1 (2): 123, - Insecta, Collembola. Felderia Kirby, 1892, was proposed as an objective replacement name but this is itself a junior homonym (see below) and so cannot be used.
There is no other objective replacement name but Acreagris correbioides is a junior subjective synonym of Pyromorpha dimidiata Herrich-Schüffer, the type-species of Pyromorpha Herrich-Schüffer, . The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name.
Acreagris was first used by Koch & Berendt, 1845, Organische Reste im Bernstein 1 (1): 56, but was a nomen nudum and therefore unavailable. Neave, 1939, Nomencl. zool. 1: 40, incorrectly placed Acreagris Koch & Berendt, 1854 as Insecta, Hemiptera.
Acreagris Felder, 1874, is a preoccupied name replaced by Neofelderia Tarmann, 1984, by Tarman 1984, Entomofauna Supplement 2 (1) : 65.
