Notes:
Nye (1975) stated:-
TYPE-LOCALITY stated to be Great Britain: England, but this was probably an error as this species is not known to occur in the Old World, but does occur in southern U.S.A. and Mexlco. Stephens when he proposed Scopelopus, also proposed Scopelopus inops as an unnecessary objective replacement name for * P. scopulaepes.
See also Hemeroplanis Hübner, 1818; and Coptocnemia Zeller, 1872.
Poole (1989) included SCOPELOPUS Stephens, 1829; and SANACEA Walker, 1866 as junior synonyms of HEMEROPLANIS Hübner, 1818.
