Fletcher (1979) stated:-

A. scabra is a junior subjective synonym of Declana floccosa Walker, 1858, ibidem 15: 1649.

Argua was originally proposed in the Tortricidae, but has since been transferred to the Geometridae, where it was placed by Meyrick, 1884, Trans. N.Z. Inst. 16: 102.
