Hemming (1967) stated:-

The taxon represented by the nominal species Quedara comoplea Swinhoe is currently treated subjectively on taxonomic grounds as being the same as that represented by the older-established nominal species Plesioneura monteithi Wood-Mason & de Niceville, 1886 (J. asiat. Soc. Bengal, Pt II, 55 : 391, pl. 18, figs 3, 3a - female).
