Notes:
Nye (1975) stated:-

A junior homonym of Psammophila Brown, 1827, Illust. Conchology Gt Br. and Ir.: pl.12, fig. 1, - Mollusca. There is no objective replacement name but N. ripae is congeneric with Noctua segetum [Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775, the type-species of Agrotis Ochsenheimer, 1816. The latter is therefore available for use as the subjective replacement name.

Ripagrotis Beck, 1996, Neue Entomologische Nachrichten 36 : 92, was established as a subgenus of Agrotis Ochsenheimer, 1816 and is the objective replacement name for the preoccupied name Psammophila Stephens, 1850.

See: AGROTIS Ochsenheimer, 1816.
