Heterocera 1: 439, where the name was misspelt * Oligochlaena. The type-species was placed in the Notodontidaae by Grünberg, 1912, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 2: 317; and placed in the Thaumetopoeidae by Kiriakoff, 1970, in Wytsman, Genera Insect. 219 (E): 15.
