Fletcher (1979) stated:-

Altena, 1953, Zool. Verh. Leiden 19: 5, rejected Lyssa Hübner, [1823], as an unused senior synonym of Nyctalemon Dalman, 1825, a name then in current use, and in October 1958 submitted a proposal to the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature to use their plenary powers to suppress the name Lyssa Hübner, [1823], and to place the name Nyctalemon Dalman, 1825, on the Official List of Generic Names in Zoology. This proposal has not yet been published.

LYSSA was included within the subfamily URANIIDAE: URANIINAE by Minet & Scoble, in Kristensen (1999).
