Placed on the Official Index of Rejected and Invalid Generic Names in Zoology: Name No. 1867. Out of the two originally included names üJaspidia nana Hübner, 1808, ibidem :4, was cited as the type-species by Tams, 1939, Entomologist 72:138. üJ. nana Hübner, 1808, was later made nomenclaturally available as Cryphia nana Hübner, 1818, and has been placed by McDunnough, 1938, Check List. Lepid. Can. s U.S.A. 1:108, as the senior subjective synonym of Thalpochares aetheria Grote, 1879.
