Anapoma is the objective replacement name for the preoccuppied name Apoma Berio, 1980, nec Beck, 1937, (in the Mollusca) by Berio, 1980, Bollettino Della Societa Entomologica Italiana 112 (1-3) : 40.

Anapoma Berio, 1980 was downgraded to denote a subgenus of Mythimna Ochsenheimer, 1816 by Yoshimatsu, 1994, Bulletin of the National Institute of Agro-Environmental Sciences 11 : 298.
