Hemming (1967) stated:-

The name Hyreus Hübner is invalid, as it is a junior homonym of Hyreus Stephens, 1816 (in Shaw, Gen. Zool., Aves 9 (2) : 337). As indicated above, this name has been replaced by the name Cacyreus Butler, [1898].
