Just wondering if anyone can help.

In the last few weeks these little black bugs have appeared in the bathroom.

I keep scrubbing, bleaching etc and they still reappear - either just the odd one of a few at a time. They seem to appear on the tiled walls or on the tiled floor.

They are approx 0.5mm in length and when I try to scoop them up they either seem to roll on their side or back. Thy don't really seem to move - appear to stay still but when on the tissue their legs still move but only very slightly.

I would say they are completely black or possibly a very very dark brown colour.

I'm just worried incase they are something harmful as it's making me very worried incase they could cause damage to the house.

They appear to be in the bathroom  although I did find one dead on a windowsill in one of the other rooms.

I asked the next door neighbour of he has them in his house ( only bought the house in match and they have started appearing in the last few weeks).   He said they seem to come in the summer and he thinks he gets the same in his bathroom???

I just want to double check what it is and if it is harmless. The small images are the ones from the bathroom. The poor quality close up is one I tried to take on my iPhone (this was the one on the windowsill).

Any help would really be appreciated as I'm droning myself crazy with worry!
