A bird perched on a branch extending from a tree stump, set against a plain background. The body of the bird is facing forwards and slightly to the right, with the head turned to the left. The bird has a black head with the eye outlined in yellow, a white flecked throat, and a pale breast with dark horizontal stripes. The wings are grey, spotted with black. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
