Bird, its body facing left and its head turned in profile to the right, perched on a tree stump on a green - yellow base against a plain background. The bird has a black crown with a yellow stripe across the eye and a black stripe below that, a white throat and belly and a yellow breast. The upper parts of the bird are predominantly yellow - brown overlaid with black hatched lines. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
