Bird, seen in almost frontal view with body turned slightly to the left and head turned in profile to the right. It is perched on a tree stump set on a pale green mound, against a plain background. The bird is predominantly black, with a crested head. There are pale green spots on the crest, head and wing, and pale green horizontal marks on the throat and breast. The tail feathers are mottled with yellow and red. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
